On His Second Trip....
Dr. Willis, leader of the Expedition at the 13,565 foot Base Camp, behind him, the Southeast couloirs of Mt. Ararat rising some 3,300 feet to the eastern plateau where a high camp was established.

The President of Ancient World Foundation has led four probes of Mt. Ararat in 1983, 1984, 1986, 1988. The scientific work done with Ice Radar, Metal Detector, Ice Drill, Chain Saw Excavation of the eastern ice cap proved conclusively that the Ark was not hidden there. The picture above shows Dr. Willis at the 13,565 foot Base Camp on Ararat's southeast slope. All the equipment had to be carried up the 3,300 foot couloir you see in back of him to create a High Camp at 16,800 feet. This work led to a re-examination of the historical evidence leading to the proper conclusion that the CORRECT MOUNTAIN of Noah is Mt. Cudi some 200 miles south.

Dr. Willis, President of Ancient World Foundation, has been able to perform two Reconnaissance Probes of Mt. Cudi in 1995 and in 1996. At the mountain he stayed with a Kurdish Chief who loaned him a 45 and an AK-47. There were certainly dangerous people on Mt. Cudi just as there were around Mt. Ararat. Dr. Willis' Turkish Army friends also provided him with a soldier with a machine gun.
On his second trip in 1996 he was able to get to the southern side of the mountain and find and photograph the TOMB OF NOAH.
